Mack schedules town hall meeting

Las Vegas City Councilman Michael Mack will hold his first online town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday.
Mack initiated the program to provide constituents another outlet to communicate with their elected leaders.
"In the new information age and with my commitment to provide more open and accessible government, this project is a natural," Mack said. "It gives those who aren't able to attend neighborhood meetings or Council meetings another venue in which to express their views and concerns about what's happening in their neighborhoods."
Las Vegas computer users who want to participate in the one-hour meeting must sign up by providing an e-mail address and a have a Java-compliant browser.
