The cost of living in Las Vegas fell 0.8 percent in March from February, marking the first decline locally in eight months, First Security Bank reported.

Housing costs were up 0.3 percent, health care was down 0.5 percent, groceries were up 0.7 percent, clothing was up 0.4 percent, restaurant meals were up 0.4 percent, utility costs declined 3.7 percent, recreation costs were up 1.7 percent and education and communications costs increased 0.2 percent.
