We should all be glad we have a man like Charlton Heston to help protect our gun rights. Why do you think all those people are swimming out of Cuba, because they are safer there? You should go and try living there to see how safe they really are.
In every country that has taken away the people's rights to own guns, there has been a much greater crime rate and much less safety for the people. It's not a Second Amendment right for a first grader to shoot someone.
But, people, you have to watch your kids so they don't drive a car, take drugs or handle guns or do many other dangerous things. You as parents need to be responsible for your children until they become responsible.
You can't blame the gun or car or whatever they should get into. You can only blame yourselves for not watching your kids until they grow up and become more responsible for themselves.
