MASHANTUCKET, Conn. -- Foxwoods Resort Casino made $65 million from its slot machines in March, up $7 million from a year ago, the Mashantucket Pequots announced.
During the month, Foxwoods gamblers had a choice of 5,668 slot machines at the casino, officials said Friday. Each machine made an average of $370.38 for the casino each day, up from $325.89 in March 1999.
A payment of $16.2 million was made to the state under the tribe's gambling compact. Connecticut receives 25 percent of the casino's slot earnings.
