Tim Dahlberg named to AP national sports staff

Dahlberg, 46, will handle national assignments and U.S. Olympic news in addition to boxing, golf and local sports.
He won the Associated Press Sports Editors prize for enterprise reporting in 1999. This year, he won the Nat Fleischer Award for excellence in boxing journalism from the Boxing Writers of America.
Dahlberg, who attended the University of Nevada-Reno, began his journalism career at the Sparks (Nev.) Tribune. He also was a reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
