Letter: IRL woes? No wonder
Friday, April 14, 2000 | 10:56 a.m.
I just read Ron Kantowski's article in Tuesday's Sun regarding the poor ticket sales for the upcoming IRL race.
I went to the first IRL race in Las Vegas. I was a fan of the Indy cars. I spent good money on tickets, pit passes and so on. My goal was to shoot pictures of the cars and drivers.
The experience was one I will never forget. Everyone I came in contact with who was involved with the race treated us like crap.
So if the slow ticket sales continue, and the IRL leaves Las Vegas, please let me know. I will be the first one there to wave bye-bye.
