Richard Hamzik, a Republican from Northern Nevada has announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate.
Hamzick of Gardnerville is an integrated-circuit design consultant who said he wants to help replace career politicians in Congress.
Hamzik lists keeping nuclear waste out of Nevada, cutting federal spending and the privatizing of Social Security as some of his issues. He has also pledged to run for no more than two terms and endorses term limits.
