BASEBALL
Chaparral 8, Green Valley 7: The Cowboys scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh on a two-RBI grounder by Chris Hansen. Drew Stater went 3-for-4 with three RBIs for Chaparral.
Eldorado 7, Rancho 6: Chris Hansen went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a home run and Arlie Daniel also went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.
Durango 14, Bonanza 2: Brandon Perry hit two three-run home runs, Nate Bumstead went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Brent Johnson went 2-for-3 with a triple, a home run and three RBIs.
Western 3, Bishop Gorman 2: Tommy LaFronz went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and also threw a five-hit complete game while striking out five, walking none and surrendering only two unearned runs.
Cheyenne 7, Mojave 2: Randy Edwards connected on 2-of-4 with two RBIs and Sean Colles and Joe Dominguez each went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Palo Verde 12, Centennial 2: Ryan Reeves had four doubles with two RBIs, Marco Scolari was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Eric Newman was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Panthers.

SOFTBALL
Eldorado 8, Rancho 4: Janelle Gervais scored three runs and stole two bases for the Sundevils.
Las Vegas 16, Clark 8: Danielle Dugan went 3-for-3 with four walks and four runs scored and Lindsey DeSantiago was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and four RBIs.
Cheyenne 4, Mojave 3: Rebecca Broad was 2-for-3 and Cassie Hood went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Cimarron-Memorial 12, Pahrump Valley 1: Riana Pulsipher struck out three batters in her complete-game three-hitter.
Silverado 10, Basic 0: Julie Brand was 3-for-3 with a home run, scoring two runs and knocking in three. Keely Commerford threw a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and only one walk.
Bishop Gorman 3, Western 2: Theresa Liedlich hit a game-tying two-run home run in the sixth and was the winning pitcher.
Centennial 2, Palo Verde 0, 9 inn: Amy Sauer pitched all nine innings for the Bulldogs, giving up only three hits. Maggie Livreri hit a game-winning single in the top of the ninth.
Bonanza 7, Durango 2: Christy Carrasco threw seven innings of six-hit softball and the Bengals got a two-run double from Sara Bausher to move into sole possession of first place in the Southwest Division.
