Financial consultant wins $1 million on Internet

Gary Kopp picked the correct six numbers out of a field of 64 in iwin.com's free daily eXtremelotto game.

His fiancee, Brenda Hurley, also hit the jackpot and will receive $200,000 for referring him to the site.

The company gives 20 percent of the winnings to the person who referred the winner to the site. It pays as many as five people in a referral chain.

"We were so surprised," Hurley said. "They had the hardest time convincing us they were real and we weren't being scammed."

Iwin.com launched its advertising-supported Web site featuring games and contests in October and started the eXtremelotto game in December.
