Federal judge allows club to open again

The Forbidden Club was closed March 26 when officers found two empty bottles of alcohol in the club.
The Forbidden Club is licensed as an erotic dance establishment and is not permitted to sell or have alcohol on its premises.
Attorneys for the club argued that the club's First Amendment rights were violated by closing the establishment without a court order.
U.S. District Judge Johnnie Rawlinson disagreed with the First Amendment argument. But she agreed the club owner's due process rights were violated when the club was closed without advance notice or an opportunity for the owner to be heard.
