COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The chief state investigator who oversaw gambling in Cripple Creek has been fired for allegedly violating Colorado gaming law.
The 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office was considering whether criminal charges should be filed, officials said Tuesday.
Craig Bridgmon, 49, of Woodland Park was fired last week after an internal investigation into allegations that surfaced three weeks ago concerning an incident in 1997.
Officials said Bridgmon is accused of violating at least one law governing conflicts of interest between state gaming employees and the casinos they regulate.
