The Las Vegas family of a deceased nurse, Kathy Batterman, sued Metro Aviation Inc., alleging negligence resulted in her death in a helicopter crash in Indian Springs.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Kurt Batterman sued over the death of his wife on April 3, 1999.
Metro Aviation has a contract with Las Vegas's Valley Hospital to provide Flight For Life helicopters.
A preliminary report by the National Transportation Safety Board said pilot James Bond Jr. became disoriented in a winter storm and was trying to find his way when he hit the ground, killing himself and two flight nurses, Batterman and Leroy Shelton.
Lori Shelton, the widow of Shelton, filed a $5 million wrongful death suit against Metro Aviation in May.
Metro Aviation could not be reached for comment on the new suit.
