Event boosts seniors' health
A Spring Health and Wellness Fair for seniors will be held 11 a.m.-4 p.m. April 18 at the Economic Opportunity Board MLK Senior Center, 2420 N. Martin Luther King Blvd., Bldg. B, in the Clark County Resource Center.

'Positively Kids' hosts fund-raiser
Positively Kids members will be hosting the Great American Duck Derby 2000, a fund-raiser for medically fragile and terminally ill children.
Magician Lance Burton will emcee the event along with special appearances by Gov. Kenny Guinn and Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev.

Relay for Life takes jog through Henderson
Henderson residents are invited to participate in the American Cancer Society's second annual Relay for Life, "A Henderson Celebration" beginning 6 p.m. Friday and concluding 10 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Station hotel-casino's amphitheater.
Teams of 10 to 15 will walk, run, jog or even push baby strollers around the track for 16 hours.
Children under 10 will enjoy Tiny Town, a special play area featuring carnival rides, clowns, face painters and more.

LV coalition sponsors health forum
The Las Vegas Coalition of the National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer will have its sixth health forum, The Unequal Burden of Cancer 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Golden Nugget. Dr. Keith Norris of King Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles will be the guest speaker. For ticket information, call 655-3752 or 648-0723.
Immunizations
Health District immunization clinics are open each week in Southern Nevada. Immunizations are provided without charge to children and young adults. The following clinics will be open this week: Wednesday through April 18.

NORTH LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 3262 Civic Center Drive, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EOB NORTH LAS VEGAS WIC: 5A E. Tonopah Ave., 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
SOUTHEAST CLINIC: 130 N. Pecos (St. Thomas More Catholic Community -- Parish Hall), 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday.
BABIES 'R' US: 510 Stephanie, Henderson, 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
SOUTHWEST CHILD HEALTH CLINIC: Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines & Tropicana Ave., noon-4 p.m. Friday.
FANTASTIC INDOOR SWAP MEET: 1717 S. Decatur Blvd., 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Free admission for those families whose children receive immunizations.
