LV Internet firm sued by former executive
Monday, April 10, 2000 | 11:10 a.m.
A former executive of Profitscape.Com Inc. is seeking $100,000 in damages from the company, alleging it reneged on terms of his employment contract.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Edward Joyce said he left his employment with PurchasePro.Com, where he was earning an $85,000-a-year salary with stock options, to join Profitscape.
He alleged Profitscape failed to raise his salary to $100,000 from $85,000 as promised or to grant him 20,000 stock options.
Joyce, who said he was hired as Profitscape's chief operating officer on Dec. 28 and resigned on Feb. 2, alleged the company replaced him with lower-paid and less-qualified individuals after it exhausted his skills to develop marketing and organizational plans for the company.
Profitscape officials declined comment.
