LV youngsters to engage in geography bee

Ninety-six Nevada students in grades 4 through 8 will compete 5 p.m. Saturday in the state finals of the National Geography Bee at UNLV's Lied Athletic Complex. Winners of the final round will compete in Washington, D.C., May 23 and 24 for a $25,000 college scholarship. Some 18,000 schools across the country participate in the bee.
