French Connection coming to LV

Friday, April 7, 2000 | 10:56 a.m.

French Connection, the London-based clothing retailer, plans to open a store in Las Vegas.

Company spokeswoman Wendy Goldstein said French Connection plans to open a local outlet before the end of the year. She declined to identify the new store location, as leasing negotiations are under way.

One location under consideration is the Desert Passage retail complex, slated to open this summer adjacent to the new Aladdin hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

The company currently operates about 75 French Connection and Nicole Farhi stores worldwide, including 22 U.S.-based outlets.

The proposed Las Vegas store is part of the company's aggressive expansion plans; about 30 new U.S. stores are scheduled to open over the next three years.
