Connie D. Adams

Connie D. Adams, 76, of Las Vegas died March 28 in a local hospice. He was born April 26, 1922, in Logansport, La. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired manager of gospel talent.

He is survived by his wife, Frankie; one son, Anthony D. Brass, two daughters, Bernice Nickerson and Tammie R. Brass, two brothers, Porter White Sr. and Bobby Joe Adams, and two sisters, Jenny V. Adams and Nitty Pennywell, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in New Light Baptist Church, 1165 Lawry Ave. Burial will be private.

Zachary Sutton-Riley Gillies

Zachary Sutton-Riley Gillies, 6, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Oct. 29, 1993, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Jennifer Gillies, one sister, Molly Gillies, his grandparents, John and Aline Williams, and his great-grandparents, Jim and Margaret Williams, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Christ Church Episcopal, 2000 Maryland Parkway. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Mary Justina Hampton

Mary Justina Hampton, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. A legal secretary, she was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Mississippi.

She is survived by one cousin, Charlie Naylor of Oklahoma City; and one granddaughter, Sonia Parker of Las Vegas.

A rosary was scheduled this morning, followed by burial at Eden Vale Memorial Park. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Jesse R. Jackson Jr.

Jesse R. Jackson Jr., 29, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hotel food and beverage worker.

He is survived by his father, Jesse Jackson, his mother and stepfather, Estelle and Willie Henderson, one brother, Juan Johnson, and two sisters, Tanya Jackson and Erica Jackson, all of Las Vegas; and his two grandmothers, Ruth Jackson of Delhi, La., and Elouise Washington of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

William James Johnson Jr.

William James Johnson Jr., 52, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A laborer, he was born Jan. 23, 1948, in Moody, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, LaVyonne; eight children, Wanda Johnson, Marva Johnson, Paula Johnson and Pricilla Johnson, all of Texas, and William Johnson Jr., Darren Johnson, Keven Johnson and A.J. Johnson, all of Las Vegas; six brothers, Larry Douglas, Stanford Douglas, Jesse Douglas, Freddie Douglas, James Douglas and Bobby Douglas; four sisters, Linda Davis, Sandra Miller, Elaine Boyd and Ruby Moore; his grandmother, Stella Vincent; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel.

Herbert Kelly

Herbert Kelly, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1915, in Ireland. A resident for 13 years, he was a chemical engineer and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by three daughters, Emma Ward, Joan Murphy and Maire Lane, all of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday with a 7 p.m. rosary in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Deborah Sue McCreary

Deborah Sue McCreary, 41, of Las Vegas died March 30 in Las Vegas. A maintenance worker at the Fremont Experience, she was born Nov. 26, 1958, in Ohio.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, two sons, Raymond McCreary and Paul McCreary Jr., and her father, Autry Ramey, all of Las Vegas; and her mother, Shirley Timmons, and two brothers, David Ramey and Fred Ramey, all of California.

Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Raymond Albert Racella Jr.

Raymond Albert Racella Jr., 26, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1973, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 13 years, he was a waiter.

He is survived by his father, Raymond Albert Racella, and one sister, Tressa Racella-Lang, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Audrey Reber

Audrey Reber, 100, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Oct. 9, 1899, in West Virginia. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Reva Quilty of Las Vegas; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Roy Lawson Shelton Sr.

Roy Lawson Shelton Sr., 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born June 27, 1925, in Iron City, Tenn. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Roy Shelton Jr. of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sarah Malinda Horne of Belgrade, Mont.; one brother, Winley Fagan of Vero Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to noon services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Fred F. 'Lucky' Spangler

Fred F. "Lucky" Spangler, 75, of Las Vegas died March 30 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Baltimore. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Air Force staff sergeant.

He is survived by one niece, Sarah Wilson of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 9-10 a.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Tutulu Te'o

Tutulu Te'o, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born March 23, 1918, in Solo Solo, Western Samoa. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one sister, A'Ano Leau of New Zealand; and one daughter, A'Ano Tofaeono of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Michael Wayne Whitney

Michael Wayne Whitney, 48, of Las Vegas died March 25 in a local hospital. He was born April 7, 1951, in Los Angeles. A resident for 30 years, he was a mason in the construction industry and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; his mother, Gloria J. Barreau, and his father, Henry W. Whitney, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Catherine Afonin of Los Angeles.

Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Evan George Wiley

Evan George Wiley, 65, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1984, in Paterson, N.J. A Clark County Animal Control officer for 20 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran and a member of the National Animal Control Officers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Kevan Wiley, and one daughter, Kendall Wiley, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

A happy gathering will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kendall Wiley's home. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
