Letter: High gas prices demand action
Thursday, April 6, 2000 | 10:02 a.m.
Gas prices cause high inflation. Why?
What kind of life does this give the working people?
High gas prices raise the cost of food and every other kind of product that must be shipped. Why isn't the president using our Alaskan oil reserves? It seems to me that this worked many years ago, and it could work again.
The House and the Senate aren't off the hook either. Let's work on reducing the government tax on gas until the prices get down to reason again.
