Singles Expo 2000, an exposition geared toward introducing businesses in the Las Vegas area to single residents, has been canceled.
A spokeswoman said a lack of vendors led to the cancellation of what was to be the inaugural event.
"I think there was just some confusion about the audience we were targeting in our marketing," said Allison Copening, a publicist for the event that had been scheduled at Cashman Center April 15-16.
Organizers were hoping 2,000 to 3,000 people would attend each day.
Copening said the event may be resurrected as an exposition for new residents to Las Vegas and target businesses that want to reach people who recently moved to the area.
