Two LV firms accused of software piracy

Microsoft Corp. sued Las Vegas computer resellers Compulink Inc. also known as Trenlink; and Software Surplus, alleging they distributed counterfeit copies of Microsoft software and installed unlicensed software on computers sold to consumers.
A Compulink official today declined comment on the allegation. Software Surplus could not be reached for comment.
This is the second time this year Microsoft announced it has filed software piracy lawsuits against Nevada companies.
