Lillian S. Brown
Lillian S. Brown, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 3, 1927, in Georgia. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Diane Silvagni and Robbee Brown, and one son, Craig Brown, all of Las Vegas; one brother, John McQuaig of Jacksonville, Fla.; and one grandchild.
Graveside services were scheduled at 2:30 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
LaVerne Dapprich
LaVerne Dapprich, 65, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 4, 1934, in San Antonio. A resident for 58 years, she was a retired assistant supervisor for a hotel housekeeping department.
She is survived by one daughter, Lynda Orrillo of Henderson; two sons, Robert Helms Jr. of Henderson and William J. Helms of Las Vegas; two sisters, Reba Brooks of Henderson and Frances Specklemeyer of Florida; three brothers, Randolph Chandler of Henderson, Roy Chandler Jr. of Nevada and Larry Chandler of Elko; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Doris J. Daverso
Doris J. Daverso, 77, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Lott, Texas. A resident for 48 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; one daughter, Shirley Daverso of Salt Lake City; two sons, Gary Daverso of Dana Point, Calif., and David Daverso of Olympia, Wash.; four sisters, Evelyn Ferguson of Pecos, Texas, Ruth Nally of Lott, Sally Scales of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Nettie Brown of Pasadena, Texas; three brothers, Sam Borden of Fort Worth, Texas, Doyle Borden of Houston and Bill Leuschner of Henderson; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Paul L. Deryckx
Paul L. Deryckx, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, he was born April 13, 1921, in New York.
Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Michael H. Friedman
Michael H. Friedman, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1951, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a retired owner of several businesses and a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
He is survived by one son, Chaison Friedman of Reno; one sister, Norisse Friedman of Las Vegas; and one cousin, Mark Friedman of Los Angeles.
His ashes will be scattered at sea. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Golden Gary
Golden Gary, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 24, 1921, in Archibald, La. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired Air Force staff sergeant and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; one son, Tim Gary of Denver; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Lois Gordon
Lois Gordon, 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for 10 years, she was born March 22, 1944, in Indiana.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; one son, Michael Gordon of Las Vegas; one daughter, Rebbecca Gordon of California; one brother, Robert Jones of Arizona; and one sister, Marilyn Sonkoly of California.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Terry E. Greene
Terry E. Greene, 53, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born March 4, 1946, in Woodland, Maine. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired casino porter and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalena; one daughter, Judith Greene of North Las Vegas; three sons, Edward Greene of North Las Vegas and Scott Greene and Mark Greene, both of Connecticut; two sisters, Janet Turner of Peoria, Ill., and Joann Behrman of Cedaredge, Colo.; two brothers, Aden Green of Ohio and Morris Green of Bristol, Conn.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 9:45 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Lori Ann Harvey
Lori Ann Harvey, 31, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 15, 1967, in Nevada. A lifelong resident, she was a graphic artist.
She is survived by her mother, Doris; and one brother, John.

Marie R. Long
Marie R. Long, 99, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Aug. 25, 1900, in New York City. A resident for 47 years, she was a retired dress shop saleswoman.
She is survived by one daughter, Marie Tortorich of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Jack Maxfield
Jack Maxfield, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1928, in Flint, Mich. A resident for 16 years, he was an electrical engineer and a Korean War Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Maxfield and Kim Alger, and two sons, Chip Maxfield and Jack Maxfield, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Margaret Maple of Ohio; and 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 4220 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 112, Las Vegas 89119.
Margaret Nollick
Margaret Nollick, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 27, 1929, in West Virginia. A resident for 35 years, she was a hotel-casino cashier.
She is survived by one sister, Ann Kalasinski, and one nephew, Thomas Kalasinski, both of Philadelphia.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Pennsylvania. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Randy Lewis Phillips
Randy Lewis Phillips, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 5, 1961, in Chicopee, Mass. A resident for 26 years, he was a construction worker, enjoyed outdoor sports including camping, hiking and mountain biking.
He is survived by his companion, Heidi Ryan of Las Vegas; one son, Brandon, his parents, William and Ruth Phillips, one brother, Billy Phillips II, and one sister, Vicky Olson, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Barbara Poletta
Barbara Poletta, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 12, 1943, Georgia. A resident for 15 years, she was a secretary in the broadcasting industry.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; two stepdaughters, Jamie and Cathy, and one stepson, David Poletta, all of Ohio; her parents, Max and Evelyn Dreier of Las Vegas; one brother, Lawrence Dreier of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Gladys Louise Reed
Gladys Louise Reed, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 3, 1934, in Oak Grove, La. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired food handler.
She is survived by two daughters, Glenda Glass and Carolyn Smith, two sons, Kenneth Reed and Henry Reed, her stepmother, Mamie Glass, and two sisters, Lula Campbell and Margie McClain, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Frank Glass of Las Vegas, Roosevelt Glass of Denver, LeVert Glass of Houston and H.G. Glass of Oak Grove; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Grace Immanuel Baptist Church, 805 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Louise A. Sigmund
Louise A. Sigmund, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born June 20, 1914, in Czechoslovakia. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.

Mattie Lee Smith
Mattie Lee Smith, 86, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1913, in Johnsville, Ark. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five sisters, Quita Craney, Treadie Perkins and Johnnie Hines, all of Las Vegas, Dottie Davis of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Betty Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; four brothers, the Rev. Roscoe Newton of Edwardsville, Kan., Burton Newton of Kansas City, Kan., Earnest Newton of Warren, Ark., and Kenneth Newton of Little Rock, Ark.; seven grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St., followed by graveside services in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Rita J. Sprague
Rita J. Sprague, 59, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1940, in McAdoo, Pa. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Norman; three sons, Norman A. Sprague of Las Vegas, Raymond M. Sprague of Henderson and John M. Sprague of Brookport, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Henderson Convalescent Hospital, 1180 E. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
Jerry O. Stratton
Jerry O. Stratton, 54, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Oregon. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a real estate salesman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Aleta; one son, Matthew J. Stratton of Washington state; one daughter, Andrea Elves of Las Vegas; and three brothers, Terry Stratton and Dave Stratton, both of Washington, and Corey Stratton.
Visitation is scheduled 7 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Earl Watts
Earl Watts, 82, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., died Sept. 17 in a California care center. He was born June 17, 1917, in Choctaw, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a member of the Bartenders Guild.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandy Hartman of Rancho Cucamonga; one son, Richard Earl Watts of Las Vegas; and four brothers, Mark Watts of Hemet, Calif., Cleo Watts of Tennessee and Roy Watts and David Watts, both of Grants Pass, Ore.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, Riverside, Calif., is handling arrangements.
