The city of Las Vegas employs 45 people in its marshals' service: Five civilians, four Deputy City Marshal sergeants, one Deputy City Marshal lieutenant and 35 Deputy City Marshals. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 1996, there were 27 employees, including three civilians. During the past five years, the budget has doubled. Annual increments are as follows:
June '96: $2,044,188 June '97: $2,490,332 June '98: $2,858,277 June '99: $3,779,600 June '00: $4,170,504
