For the fifth consecutive quarter, NevStar Gaming & Entertainment Corp. of Las Vegas announced it will be filing late earning reports.
The company's annual report for the fiscal year ending June 30 was due Tuesday. The Las Vegas company announced today that it would be unable to meet that deadline, saying that it could not file by that date "without unreasonable effort and expense." NevStar said the annual report will be filed within 15 days.
NevStar said it is currently working on a number of "time-sensitive matters," including the possible refinancing of the company. It also said it is currently restructuring its accounting department.
Through the nine months ending March 31, NevStar had recorded a loss of $5.24 million on revenues of $7.9 million. The company gave no indication of its expectations for annual earnings.
NevStar owns the Mesquite Star hotel-casino in Mesquite and is developing a second casino in North Las Vegas.
