Las Vegas area fishing report
Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999 | 10:23 a.m.
LAKE MEAD: Striped bass fishing seems to be improving by the day with the only glitch being a persistent lack of threadfin shad for the gamefish to feed on.
A lack of shad is being blamed by the Nevada Division of Wildlife for the thin stripers that are being caught by anglers. Thin stripers appear to be more common in the upper portions of the lake.
LAKE MOHAVE: Fishing has been very good for rainbow trout and striped bass at Willow Beach because NDOW stocked 20,000 trout along the shoreline last week.
