Four shareholder suits settled

A federal judge approved a $1 million settlement that will end four class action shareholder lawsuits against Casino Data Systems of Las Vegas.
The first of the lawsuits was filed in December 1996, following a one-day plunge of 33 percent in the company's stock price. Casino Data Systems announced the settlement one year ago, and paid the $1 million settlement fee last November.
The judge's approval will dismiss all pending securities litigation against the company, and will permit funds from the settlement to be distributed.
Casino Data Systems produces a variety of technology-driven products for the casino industry, including slot management systems, games, progressive systems and signage.
