Nice ride turns sour

Paul McMillan, 30, of Washoe Valley died in Friday evening's accident on the spread of his teacher, Joe Clark.
McMillan came to northern Nevada from New York about five years ago and practiced and competed at Clark's Triple J Bull Riding Arena, working his way toward a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association card.
"He rode bull real good," Clark said. "He was getting better and better all the time."
McMillan was the only person to ever ride the bull that threw him and had been on him several times before, Clark said.
"He's a very small bull, but he bucks real hard," Clark said. "Paul was making a nice ride when the bull threw him."
