U.S. District Judge Howard McKibben sentenced Perry late Monday to six months of community confinement and another six months and a day of home confinement. He also ordered Perry to pay a $20,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service.
The sentence begins Jan. 24.
Lawyer Donald Cavin Hill, representing Perry, said community confinement means Perry will spend his nights in a jail or other custodial facility.
Hill argued for probation, which federal prosecutors had recommended for Perry.
Perry pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud and aiding and abetting others in crimes. For more than four years, he has assisted the federal government in prosecuting others
He testified against the owners of the brothel and former manager Shirley Colletti, all of whom were found guilty of racketeering and other charged.
AGE Corp and AGE Enterprises were ordered to forfeit the brothel and to pay $40 million. Colletti has been ordered to forfeit $200,000 and faces a sentence of up to 50 months in federal prison.
