Metro Police are looking for a man believed to have stabbed his wife several times Saturday afternoon.
The victim, a 31-year-old woman, called 911 just before 3 p.m. Saturday and reported that her husband, Adrian R. Correa, had stabbed her after an argument in their home near Smoke Ranch Road and Torrey Pines Drive, police said.
The woman was found unconscious in the kitchen with her 3-year-old son, who police believe witnessed the stabbing, police said.
The mother was taken to University Medical Center where she underwent emergency surgery for stab wounds in the chest and arms, police said. She was in stable condition this morning.
Correa is Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds, has a mustache and shoulder-length black hair, police said.
He is believed to be driving a white 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix with license plates 232-HRM, police said.
Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Correa is asked to call police at 229-4451 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
