Letter: Power at heart of Metro issue
Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999 | 9:46 a.m.
Over strong ale at my neighborhood tavern my friends and I contemplated life under "Mc-Metro."
Fiefdom is hardly the word, sir. Kingdom, ruler and subjects come quickly to mind. The words ringing throughout the land will shortly become, "I grant thee wishes, bring me gifts."
To this the loyal subjects chant "We are free ... We have our liberty ... Just do what Mc-Metro says to thee."
