Metro Police have identified a man they said was shot to death by an apartment complex manager after a robbery Wednesday morning.
Paulo Ulises Cornejo, 24, was killed after he and an accomplice allegedly robbed the Rochelle Manor Apartments, 4340 Escondido St., police said.
Around 11:30 a.m. Cornejo and another man struck the manager and tied him up before robbing the apartment office, police said.
The manager freed himself, grabbed his handgun and chased after the two men, confronting them in the northeast corner of the apartment building's parking lot, police said.
Cornejo began to reach inside his clothing for a gun, according to the manager, who then shot Cornejo several times, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
