Letter: Student stood alone with his prayers
Friday, Sept. 24, 1999 | 9:44 a.m.
In a recent issue you ran a piece about Christian students gathering around the flagpole to pray. What a shame that at one school, one lonely boy showed up to pray.
I refer to Jason Bell-Bechtol. At least he had the courage of his convictions. Where were his classmates? How about the parents? Well done, Jason, good for you!
While on this topic, some courtrooms have come under fire for displaying the Ten Commandments on the wall. I ask this, has anybody come up with anything better to use as a code of conduct?
