Lady Rebels cleared in recruiting case

UNLV has responded to the NCAA Enforcement Staff regarding a possible violation involving women's basketball coach Regina Miller and the recruitment of Linda Froehlich. The university deemed no violation was committed. The NCAA accepted the report and the university's conclusion, stating it planned no further action.
"The most important aspect of Coach Miller's trip to Germany in 1998 was that it occurred prior to her being interviewed for our position as head women's basketball coach," Cavagnaro said. "It is very logical to then determine there was no violation."
Added Miller in a statement: "It was a personal trip and I was not representing UNLV or any other institution when I met with Linda Froehlich and her family."
