John Riessen, 43, Reno, was pronounced dead on the scene Tuesday night at the Borgman Repair Service, 301 Washington Street.
Police were called to the repair shop on a report of a fight about 6:45 p.m. They found the victim on the ground suffering from a head wound. Paramedics attempted life-saving efforts to no avail.
Police said a preliminary investigation shows Riessen used to work there. He allegedly arrived at the business intoxicated, entered the gated yard and started arguing with an employee.
The argument led to a physical fight and resulted in Riessen's head injury, police said.
