Doris Anderson

Doris Anderson, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 26, 1923, in New York. A resident for 20 years, she was a jewelry company security officer.

She is survived by one brother, Arthur Siegel of New Jersey.

Ronald Chesney Jr.

Ronald Chesney Jr., 35, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 17, 1964, in California. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a carpenter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his father, Ronald Chesney Sr. of Fallbrook, Calif.

Olga Violet Cobb

Olga Violet Cobb, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 21, 1926, in New York City and was retired.

She is survived by one son, Robert A. Heyman of Henderson; one sister, Edith Stigliano of Las Vegas; and one nephew, George Stigliano of Reno.

Terry L. Conger

Terry L. Conger, 55, of Jean died Sunday in a local hospital. A resident for 25 years, he was born Jan. 3, 1944, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by four sisters, Francine Schooley and Suzanne Fain, both of Las Vegas, and Jeanine Dourbet of Norco, Calif.; and one brother, Ernest W. Conger of Newport Richey, Fla.

Andrea Dorff

Andrea Dorff, 25, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born May 7, 1974, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Alexis Dorff, and one son, Zachary Dorff, both of Henderson; her mother, Marianne Cook of Atlanta; her father, Rodney Kingham of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Orson and Janette Kingham of Las Vegas and Shirley Ricketts of Farmington, N.M.; and her great-grandfather, Cale Sleffel of Norton, Kan.

Roger Elmo Hockersmith

Roger Elmo Hockersmith, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Berryville, Ark. A resident for seven years, he worked in agriculture and related projects.

He is survived by his wife, Louise K.; one daughter, Linda K. Goodale, and one son, Mickee Lee Hockersmith, both of Winnemucca; two brothers, Lanny Hockersmith and Terry Hockersmith, both of Oakley, Kan.; four sisters, Connie Markel of Oakley, Julia Kite of Bullhead City, Ariz., Kathy Van Kirk of Sarasota, Fla., and Debbie Hall of Wichita, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. services Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Gordon C. Jensen Jr.

Gordon C. Jensen Jr., 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Oct. 18, 1925, in Seattle. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired World War II Navy boatswain first class.

He is survived by his companion, Eileen T. Brake of Las Vegas.

Allen Lipton

Allen Lipton, 74, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 2, 1931, in New York. A resident for 21 years, he was a restaurateur and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Evan Lipton, and one daughter, Jennifer Lipton, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Stanley Lipton, and one sister, Carol Rickman, both of Florida.

Eugene Elmer Money

Eugene Elmer Money, 59, of Las Vegas died Oct. 27, 1998, in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 25, 1938, in Illinois. A resident for five years, he was a computer consultant and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by six daughters, Marcy Abernathy, Gigi Mize, Terri Kisro, Karen Frasyer, Leslie Markel and Helen Money; his mother, Helen Chandler; two sisters, Beverly Chapman and Penny Burns; two brothers, Larry Cockrel and Douglas Money; and 10 grandchildren.

Gilbert J. Moran

Gilbert J. Moran, 87, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born April 15, 1912, in Michigan. A resident for 18 years, he was a supervisor and a veteran of the Merchant Marines.

He is survived by his wife, Jean; one daughter, Judy Muncy of California; and one sister, Alice Ayesworth of Ohio.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Wilma Nelson

Wilma Nelson, 52, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Louisville. A resident for six years, she was a casino dealer.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Anita Larsen of Tacoma, Wash., and Teana Martinez of Reno; one brother, Tom Gibson of Tacoma; and five grandchildren.

Bernard Page

Bernard Page, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 14, 1917, in New York. A resident for many years, he was a sheet metal worker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; and one son, Scott Page of Calabasas, Calif.

Geraldine L. Paul

Geraldine L. Paul, 76, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Peoria, Ill. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star Sunrise Chapter 28 in Henderson.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur M.; one daughter, Barbara Mayer of Gardnerville; two sons, Richard Lee Scholler of Henderson and Andrew Paul of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Mary L. Piloton, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 8, 1924, in Maui, Hawaii. A resident for three years, she was a retired government stenographer.

She is survived by five daughters, Iraida Quicho, Elizabeth Ampa, Maria Corazon Gomez and Maria Elena Piloton, all of Honolulu, and Marilyn Placibe of Las Vegas; one son, Francis Piloton, three brothers, Tony Lasit, Gilbert Manalo and Robert Manalo, and two sisters, Elsie Mina and Margaret Young, all of Honolulu; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Margaret J. Reed

Margaret J. Reed, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Maryland. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a cook.

She is survived by one son, Herbert Foote of Las Vegas; one daughter, Violet Middleton of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Scutti

Ralph Scutti, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 9, 1906, in Brazil. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired Navy master chief signalman and a World War II veteran and a member of the Italian-American Club.

He is survived by one brother, Gene Ceasare of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

LaVerne H. Severtson

LaVerne H. Severtson, 75, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Minnesota. A resident for 34 years, he was a welder and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Debbie Ford of Henderson; and one brother, Douglas Severtson of Florida.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services. Burial will follow at 10 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Seymour Weiss

Seymour Weiss, 84, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Aug. 24, 1915, in New York. A resident for two years, he was a certified public accountant and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Karen Person-Harrison of Illinois; one sister, Lillian Roland of South Bend, Ind.; two brothers, Lee Leeds-Shaffier of Tarzana, Calif., and Dr. Arthur Weiss of Columbia, S.C.; and one granddaughter.

Doretha McKinney Williams

Doretha McKinney Williams, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 18, 1931, in Monroe, La. A resident for 53 years, she was a Vo-Tech High School cosmetology teacher for more than 15 years, a member of Cosmetics for Beauticians and of Area 2 Zoning and Planning for the city of Las Vegas and was an usher at Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Jr.; one daughter, Zarita Tyree, one son, Bernard Williams, two sisters, Dorothy M. Whitmore and Gloria J. Jordan, and one brother, George B. McKinney, all of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave.
