PurchasePro.com Inc. of Las Vegas entered into an agreement with a Philadelphia company to create an online electronic commerce marketplace designed for the construction industry.

The site, to be called PrimeContract.com, will be created by PurchasePro in partnership with Primavera Systems Inc. Primavera has more than 250,000 users using its software product in the construction industry.

Through the network, construction companies will be able to solicit and receive bids from subcontractors, quickly review subcontractor bids, award project contracts and purchase construction materials.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

PurchasePro develops and maintains business-to-business, online marketplaces designed to streamline the procurement process. The company successfully completed its initial public offering last week.
