Dogs quarantined after attacking three boys
Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999 | 9:31 a.m.
The attack on the Reno triplets came Tuesday afternoon about a block from Glen Duncan Elementary School. A passerby stopped to help chase the dogs away.
Paramedics treated one of the boys, Billy Fine, for a cut on the back of his head and bites to his elbow.
The dogs got loose from the backyard of a vacant house. They are being quarantined for at least 10 days to see if they have rabies or any other diseases.
Animal service officials say someone has been feeding the dogs in the vacant yard. One of the dogs apparently was protecting a litter of six puppies.
