Casino to promote new timeshare

Harrah's Entertainment Inc. and Fairfield Communities Inc. agreed to cross-market Fairfield's proposed Grand Desert Resort with Harrah's Las Vegas hotel-casino.
Fairfield plans to build a 7.5-acre, $120 million "vacation ownership" project at the corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane. The project's two towers will offer a combined total of 416 condominium units, including 120 units in the initial 13-story tower.
Fairfield will operate three reception and information centers marketing the Grand Desert within the Las Vegas Harrah's hotel-casino. In return, Harrah's will be designated Fairfield's "preferred hotel-casino" in Las Vegas. The companies plan several other marketing promotions, including special travel packages, show tickets and casino chips.
Rewards offered to Fairfield property owners through the company's Ambassador owner referral program will include stays at Harrah's properties nationwide; Fairfield resorts throughout the country will also host "Harrah's Casino Nights."
For its part, Harrah's will include Fairfield-themed offers in its Total Gold customer loyalty program.
