Kip Davis
Kip Davis, 47, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Delta, Utah. A resident for 39 years, he was a heavy equipment operator for a paving company, a member of the Operating Engineers and Teamsters unions.
He is survived by his wife, Danna; one daughter, Danelle Davis, one son, Dustin Davis, and two brothers, Scott Davis and Monte Davis, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Phyllis Munster of Carlin, Betty Carter of Delta, Utah, Nila Hunter of Desert Air, Wash., and Leela King of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be private.
Michael J. Merkouris
Michael J. Merkouris, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Mich. A resident for four years, he was a casino floor manager who worked at the Rio for the past four years.
He is survived by one daughter, Mikki Merkouris, and one son, John Merkouris, both of Reno; his mother, Sophia Merkouris of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; three sisters, Toni Zaleski of Wichita, Kan., Nicki Gasparrelli of Arroyo Grande and Coco Gremore of Los Gatos, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Ann Saskor
Ann Saskor, 87, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 3, 1912, in Missouri. A resident for many years, she was a restaurateur.
She is survived by her husband, Matthew J.; and two daughters, Nancy Maas and Delores Tobin, both of Henderson.
Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Edna S. Smith
Edna S. Smith, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 27, 1913, in Los Angeles. A resident for 60 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Joe Smith, and three daughters, Betty Romans, Beverly Fitzgerald and Bobbi Scheffer, all of Las Vegas; 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Cleona Sorenson
Cleona Sorenson, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Mesquite. A resident for 74 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Penny Moore of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to noon services Wednesday in the LDS Harmony Ward Chapel. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Ellen Stone
Ellen Stone, 38, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 25, 1961, in Henderson. A lifelong resident, she was a gaming slot technician.
She is survived by one son, J.D. Acre, one daughter, Danny Norman, and her parents, Horton and Elizabeth Stone, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Horton Stone III of Las Vegas and George Stone of Cottonwood, Ariz.; and one sister, Susan Hardy of Henderson.
Visitation will be noon-1 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
