California AG, conservationists fight Tahoe condo project

Staff for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency is recommending board members approve the 26-unit development this week.
But a lawyer for one of the opposing groups says a lawsuit is likely if they do.
"It's been an interesting adventure and I don't think it's over yet," said Jeff Cutler, lawyer for Friends of Burke Creek.
Cutler said the TRPA was guilty of a "big old flip-flop" earlier this month when it reversed its previous recommendation that an environmental impact statement be required.
Critics earlier complained about the impact the proposed South Shore Estates would have on Indian artifacts discovered at the site.
