Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 | 9:56 a.m.
At least two people were killed in the crash involving two pickups about 6:15 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Highway 89 was expected to remain closed in both directions until at least noon. Traffic was being routed around the area.
