Mary Altenburger
Mary Altenburger, 86, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 2, 1913, in Lawton, Okla. A resident for 55 years, she was a retired trailer park owner and a member of the Sunrise Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by three stepdaughters, Barbara Nicholas of Las Vegas, Judith Holz of Chandler, Ariz., and Suzanne Holland of Vancouver, Wash.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, 3441 W. Sahara Ave., Suite A-8, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
Billy Balfour
Billy Balfour, 81, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1917, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a retail sales firm and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila; and one daughter, Roberta Elliott of Las Vegas.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Robert Boswell
Robert Boswell, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born June 13, 1919, in Jennings, Neb. A resident for 39 years, he was a house painter, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by one son, Robert Boswell of Las Vegas; two daughters, Connie Hansen of Las Vegas and Phyllis Allen of Iowa Falls, Iowa.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Gary Brown
Gary Brown, 39, of Elmont, N.Y., died Tuesday in North Hempstead, N.Y. He was born Feb. 25, 1960, in California. A former Las Vegas resident for five years, he was an automotive detailer.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Cheyenne Brown, and his father, Jack Brown, both of Los Angeles; his mother, Josephine Brown, one brother, Jack Brown, and two sisters, Judy Brown and Yolanda Brown, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be noon-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Eva Ellen Burke
Eva Ellen Burke, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 30, 1910, in Denver. A resident for eight years, she was an office manager at a real estate firm who retired at 80 years old, first woman to rank as sergeant for the Oakland Police Department and also worked as a private detective.
She is survived by three sons, Grady Burke of Sunnyvale, Calif., Louis Burke of Burlingame, Calif., and Robert Burke of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Frank Campagna
Frank Campagna, 64, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 5, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; two daughters, Lisa Campagna of California and Rene Campagna of Las Vegas; one son, Frank Campagna of Las Vegas; one sister, Andrea Volpe of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Patricia Marie Cardinalli
Patricia Marie Cardinalli died Sept. 10 in Las Vegas. She was born in Pierre, S.D. She was a publisher and editor of magazines and newsletters, reporter for the Mineral County Independent under Jack McCloskey, an American Red Cross volunteer, University of Nevada, Reno 1951 graduate and top woman graduate of the year, president of the Las Vegas chapter of the American Association of University Women and the Retired Officers' Wives Club, a member of Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities, Silver Queens Investment Club, Chinese-American Friendship Club, UNLV Library Advisory Board and St. Patrick's Guild at St. Viator Catholic Church, was a champion bridge player, headed charity events, loved opera, ballet and jazz.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence and Marc, both of Southern Nevada.
A memorial service and celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Oct. 9 at St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
The family suggests donations to the American Association of University Women-Las Vegas Educational Foundation, St. Patrick's Guild of St. Viator's, University of Nevada, Reno Foundation or the UNLV Library.
D. Tom Cook
D. Tom Cook, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1937, in Warren, Ohio. A resident for 33 years, he owned and operated Awards Won Trophy Shop and was an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; two daughters, Susan Cook and Vickie Schwaegerle, both of Las Vegas; one son, James Cook of North Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be noon until 3 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will be 1 p.m. Oct. 2 in Palm Memorial Park.
Betty Ezell
Betty Ezell, 69, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 7, 1930, in Texas. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Alphonso Ray Bigelow and Jeffrey Leon Brown, both of California; two daughters, Rose Thomas and Janice Thomas, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Joseph Feo
Joseph Feo, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Illinois. A resident for 10 years, he retired as a building engineer after 20 years.
He is survived by one son, A. Joseph Field.

Kenneth Fetters
Kenneth Fetters, 58, of Las Vegas died Aug. 21 in Las Vegas. He was born May 15, 1941, in Indiana. A resident for many years, he was an automotive dispatcher.
He is survived by one son, Ken Fetters, and one daughter, Miranda Fetters of Indiana.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Stanley Fitch
Stanley Fitch, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 9, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired sales representative for supermarket provisions.
He is survived by one son, Lawrence Fitch of Orange, Calif.; one daughter, Sherri Limon of Temecula, Calif.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Mona Diayne Fuller
Mona Diayne Fuller, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Illinois. A resident for seven years, she owned Bridal Veil Manufacturing.
She is survived by one son, Gary Hal Amsterdam; two daughters, Adene Amsterdam Balzer and Susan Amsterdam; loving dear friends, Sonny Amsterdam and Don Keller; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Richard J. Lausch
Richard J. Lausch, 71, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 30, 1928, in Joliet, Ill. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired laborer, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of the Laborers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; one stepdaughter, Ronda Vega; one brother, Jack Lausch of Joliet; and five grandchildren.

Nels Pearson Lindberg
Nels Pearson Lindberg, 37, of Pahrump died Wednesday in Pahrump. A farmer, he was born March 5, 1962, in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; and one son, Nicholas Lindberg of Pahrump.

Robert Edward Mauger
Robert Edward Mauger, 64, of Las Vegas died Sept. 7 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 20, 1934, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 18 years, he was a carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; one son, Todd Kemp; three daughters, Edna Robin David-Ortiz, Crystal Belanger and Kottie Kemp; one brother, Earnest Mauger; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.
Allen 'A.J.' Moler
Allen 'A.J.' Moler, 38, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Dec. 18, 1960, in Cheyenne, Wyo. A resident for 33 years, he owned and operated Las Vegas Skydiving Center, was a Marine Corps veteran from 1979-1985 and loved motorcycles.
He is survived by two sons, Jacob Allen Moler and Justice Patrick Moler, ex-wife Audine Lindsey-Moler, his mother, Alice M. Madden, and his father, Thomas A. Moler, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Geralyn L. Moler of Greenwich, N.Y.; five brothers, John J. Moler, Timothy Q. Moler and Brian T. Moler, all of Las Vegas, Russell G. Moler of Detroit and Blane M. Moler of Miami.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Another memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. Monday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive.

Richard E. Pugliese
Richard E. Pugliese, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 22, 1926, in Vandergrift, Pa. A resident for seven years, he was a retired consultant for an engineering manufacturer and a lifetime member of the Republican Presidential Task Force.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lea; two sons, Richard E. Pugliese of Vandergrift and Michael G. Pugliese of Arvada, Colo.; two brothers, Fred Pugliese of Spring Church, Pa., and Melvin Pugliese of Salt Lake City; three sisters, Theresa Eggert of Pittsburgh, Esther McMakowski of Vandergrift and Elaine Marsilio of Torrance, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens.

Adah Lyman Demille Rivers
Adah Lyman Demille Rivers, 87, of North Las Vegas died Thursday in North Las Vegas. She was born July 18, 1912, in Parowan, Utah. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Hal Demille of North Las Vegas and Greg Demille of Blommington, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Monday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Norman Ronke
Norman Ronke, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 2, 1931, in La Crosse, Wis. A resident for 28 years, he was a parts manager and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen.

Louis Schanoes, 100, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born July 16, 1899, in Russia. A resident for many years, he was a restaurateur.

Milton Schwartz
Milton Schwartz, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 19, 1918, in New York City. A resident for 10 years, he owned Raffels (a restaurant in New York) and was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; three sons, Brad Schwartz of New York state, Arthur Schwartz of Boulder, Colo., and Richard Schwartz of Boca Raton, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. A private burial will follow.
Kathy Stout
Kathy Stout, 56, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 20, 1943, in Minneapolis. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Denzil; two daughters, Cheryl Ann Prenger and Dawn Marie Prenger, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph Stout of Jerome, Idaho, and Vernon Michael Stout of Las Vegas; her parents, Florence and Gordon M. Culhane of Minneapolis; two sisters, Constance Kaiser of Chicago City, Minn., and Mary Culhane of Minneapolis; two brothers, Thomas Culhane of Minneapolis and Jerome Culhane of Sacramento; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Nathan 'Speed' Tapler
Nathan 'Speed' Tapler, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1910, in Philadelphia. A resident for two years, he was a retired retail food warehouse supervisor and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Rhona Myers of Las Vegas; one sister, Lena Sargen of Delray Beach, Fla.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Merlin A. 'Win' Windham
Merlin A. 'Win' Windham, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1932, in Iowa. A resident for 14 years, he was a restaurant manager/owner and owned five car dealerships in Hawaii.
