Gene Ross was appointed news director for Las Vegas television station KLAS Channel 8.
Effective Sept. 27, Ross will replace news director Emily Neilson, who is moving to the position of programming director at the station.
Prior to his arrival in Las Vegas, Ross served as the assistant news director at KGO-TV in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.
