Singer sued by job applicant
Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999 | 10:40 a.m.
A Las Vegas woman sued entertainer Robert Goulet and his wife, alleging the couple's negligence caused her injuries while she was being interviewed for employment at their Las Vegas residence.
Celine Santeler claimed that on Nov. 25, 1997, she slipped and fell on the marble floor of the Goulets' residence while being led through the house by Vera Goulet.
She alleged in the Clark County District Court suit the Goulets had caused her injuries because they failed to provide adequate lighting, railings or warning that there was an elevation change from the dining area into a sunken area.
Santeler is seeking compensation for general damages in excess of $10,000, and medical expenses totalling $5,021, according to the suit.
The Goulets could not be reached for comment.
