Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999 | 11 a.m.
Metro Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver whose truck struck and killed a wheelchair-bound Las Vegas woman early Tuesday morning.
Police say Nancy Fowler, 41, was being pushed by her husband, John Fowler, 45, as they headed south in the right travel lane of Las Vegas Boulevard near the Interstate 215 intersection.
Witnesses reported that a full-size Dodge pickup or Ramcharger was traveling south in the same travel lane and struck the Fowlers from behind about 2:30 a.m., police said.
Nancy Fowler was pronounced dead at the scene and John Fowler was taken to University Medical Center where he was treated for serious injuries and released.
Anyone with information on the vehicle or driver is asked to call police at 229-3538 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
