Haig's Quality Printing of Palm Springs, Calif., plans to open a new printing plant in Las Vegas on Sep. 27. The company moved its operations here to accommodate increased business in Las Vegas.
"Three years ago, we opened a sales office here and business just took off," said Haig Atamian, the company's founder. "Last year, 50 percent of our jobs were from Las Vegas and we projected that to grow to 75 percent. We're already doing work for New York-New York, Monte Carlo, the MGM, the Rio and with many of the local advertising agencies."
The 18,000-square-foot printing plant, at 6360 Sunset Corporate Drive in the Hughes Corporate Center, will have 15 employees. Seven of the workers are coming from Palm Springs.
