Letter: Kenny should pay visit to her local Wal-Mart
Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999 | 9:46 a.m.
I shop Wal-Mart. I like the courteousness of the employees, the quality of items on sale, most garments are made in America, the parking lots are clean, and I like the prices.
Whether a person has lots of money or is on a limited income, the prices of most pharmaceutical items, including major brands (needed by us senior citizens) are much less at Wal-Mart than other stores in the area.
On what grounds is Ms. Kenny basing her comments? Has Ms. Kenny visited the local Wal-Mart stores? If not, she should. She will find smoking is not allowed and she will not see any slot machines. Then perhaps she should visit other grocery chains and compare where most smoking and gambling is located.
Does she have a problem with free enterprise?
