MINDEN - The interim manager for Douglas County has been arrested for violating terms of a restraining order by going to his estranged wife's home.
Bob Nunes had been allowed access to the home over the weekend, but wasn't supposed to go there again until the end of the month. He was arrested by sheriff's deputies when he showed up at the home on Monday.
Nunes is the county's community development director. He had been filling in on an interim basis for County Manager Dan Holler, who's in Latvia.
Pending further review, commissioners designated Claudette Springmeyer, the county comptroller, as interim manager. Nunes was released on $1,000 bail and faces a Sept. 22 court appearance.
