Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999 | 9:57 a.m.
The victims suffered minor puncture wounds in the attack late Friday outside the Great Basin Brewery. Three were treated at the scene by paramedics while two others refused treatment.
Kyle Christopher Atkins was booked into the Washoe County Jail for investigation of battery with a deadly weapon.
Police were unsure what provoked the 10:40 p.m. attack.
The spree began when the suspect stabbed a disc jockey presiding over the concert in the back, officers said.
The suspect jumped on stage and stabbed a band member while he was performing, then stabbed three audience members after jumping off stage. Others held the suspect until police arrived.
