UNLV-UNR to be televised
Friday, Sept. 10, 1999 | 10:10 a.m.
UNLV fans won't be able to watch Saturday night's game at Baylor on television, but they will at least get to see next month's Fremont Cannon battle at Nevada-Reno on the tube.
The school announced Thursday that the Oct. 2 contest will be shown live on KLAS TV-8 (CBS). The game kicks off at 1 p.m.
It will be the second Rebel game shown by KLAS this year. Last week's season-opening win at North Texas was the first UNLV football game shown on a network affiliate in prime time and drew high ratings.
KLAS also announced it will televise UNLV's Oct. 23 contest against BYU at Sam Boyd Stadium. That homecoming contest, originally scheduled for a 4 p.m. kickoff, will now start at 7:30 p.m.
