The Las Vegas Wolves of the High Desert Football League will open their ninth season Sunday at Mojave High School when they meet the Bakersfield Rockets at 1 p.m. The semi-pro Wolves will play a 10-game season, with each of the five home games at Mojave. Also on the team's home schedule: Sept. 26, vs. the Los Angeles Falcons; Oct. 24 vs. the California All-Stars; Nov. 7 vs. Bay City; and Nov. 14 vs. Marina Valley. The latter two teams are based on the Oakland-San Francisco bay area, while the California All-Stars are based in San Diego.
